Previous company experience includes the blue chip companies of BP Shipping, Stolt Nielsens Rederi A/S, and MOL Tankship Ltd.

Vessel Experience - Fleet Manager & Superintendent - crude oil tankers VLCC, petroleum tankers (coastal trade), chemical tankers, LPG, FSO, ro-ro, bulk carriers and pure cement carriers.

Seagoing Career - chemical tankers, crude tankers including VLCC, petroleum and bitumen tankers, and pure cement carriers. Vessel sizes VLCC down to coastal trade vessels.

Education - Class One (Motor) certificate holder since 1990, with petroleum and chemical endorsements, OND in mechanical engineering (with marine endorsement).

Training courses - Internal ISM auditor (ISO 9001:2008), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), advanced safety auditing, incident management, command and control fire-fighting, BV's PSC Preventing Detention, advanced media awareness and telephone response, Sulzer RTA 58T, MAN NA/S turbochargers, Framo deepwell pumps, as well as all routine seagoing training.

Previous experience. Led a slow steaming trial on a VLCC Fleet that led to savings of over $2 million in it's first year.

Carried out over 10 drydocks, in addition to many repair periods. Drydock projects include main engine crankshaft regrinding, renewal of auxiliary boiler with new burners and combustion control system, Class renewal including 5th Special. Implemented the life extension program for a 15-year old tanker. Involved in repair of stern tube bearing including the RCA report. New vessel delivery as Superintendent (6) and Chief Engineer (2), etc.
